In a word, service.
We have customers that have been with us since we incorporated in 1993. The reason they remain with us is the service. We tend to think of ourselves as an extension or as a partner in your business. When you have an important deadline or MUST MEET a customers demands, it becomes our problem too. We will contact our other customers and ask to push out any non-essential projects to make room for your emergency. Need to make a tight deadline to get that new customer or contract? Your deadline becomes our deadline.
A perfect example of this “partnership” philosophy is that of a midwest customer. An engineer, familiar with our work and service, transferred to a company in the Midwest and requested that we be added to their existing vendor list. This company had an exhibit at a major east coast photonics show, and through an unfortunate turn of events found that a major component of their new product line would not be ready in time to make the show. Our engineer contact called on Thursday evening to explain the problem and asked if we could help. We received a P.O. for the component at the close of business Thursday. Material was purchased Friday and we worked through the weekend. The component was anodized Monday morning and overnighted Monday night directly to the customer’s booth at the show. On Tuesday we received a call saying that the component was in place for the start of the show on Tuesday afternoon!
We realize that you can have your parts made anywhere in the world. We also realize that price is a major factor in deciding who does your work. While we cannot compete with offshore vendors on pricing, we can and do work diligently to keep prices down as low as possible while offering personalized service and quick response times. Perhaps your business is organized and runs well enough that you never have an emergency. If so, congratulations. But wouldn’t it be reassuring to know that if you ever had a manufacturing problem, you also had a “Partner” willing and able to help out?
